Overview

The primary goal of the ACT Center Research Program is to advance scientific knowledge related to tobacco use and cessation. 

Investigations have addressed:

• basic science (genetics, psychological mechanisms)

• applied clinical (assessment strategies, treatment strategies, subpopulations, treatment efficacy)

• public health (larger scale treatment deployment, treatment effectiveness / cost-effectiveness) issues
