Q. How much do I have to pay?
A.

There is no charge for treatment services.

 

Q. How long does treatment take?
A.

Usually, there is one initial session and six treatment sessions. 

Q. Will the patch cause a heart attack?
A.

Nicotine replacement therapy does not cause heart attacks.

 

Q. Will Zyban cause a seizure?
A.

For most individuals, Zyban is very safe. However, it can lower the seizure threshold for individuals who have experienced seizures in the past.  A careful medical evaluation is required.

 

Q. Does the ACT Center conduct alcohol and drug counseling, also?
A.

The ACT Center is primarily a tobacco cessation program, however, appropriate referrals can be made for those requiring such services.

 

Q. Can anyone come to the ACT Center for treatment?
A.

Anyone 18 years of age or older can participate.

 

Q. Can I just pick up my medicine without being seen?
A. In order to receive medication, patients need to be currently receiving treatment.
